Art Therapy

I have attended a number of art therapy courses and conferences in Ottawa and Montreal over the years, which have been essential in the development of my workshops. Over the years, I have run an art program for the Ottawa Aphasia Centre, a support group for people who have had strokes. One of these practices is the art therapy programs. Relatively new to the field of museums, art therapy allows visitors to look for new creative experiences and at the same time it can provide psychological benefits. We caught up with Elisabeth Ioannides from the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Athens (EMST) to talk about the art therapy. BROWSE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ON THIS PAGE Ottawa Outpatient Services. Chiropractic services, acupuncture, physical therapy, massage therapy, spinal stabilization exercise programs, nutritional counseling and exercise programs. Students will experience art as a form of self expression and their creative skills will grow naturally. Community events.

2 These courses can be taken in the Fall or Winter terms (a maximum of 2 courses per term from: ART1311, ART1321, ART1331, ART1341).

3 The introductory survey courses, ART1360 and ART1361, are required for all undergraduates in the Department of Visual Arts (Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Visual Arts, Major and Minor in Art History), and are prerequisites for all compulsory 3000-level courses, so should therefore be taken in first year to ensure graduation on time.

4 AHL1100 and AHL1900 have variable topics. They can be taken twice.

5 Consult the reference - Program Requirements for the list of possible courses. At least 12 course units, with a minimum of 3 course units at the 3000 level, must be taken in the same principal discipline (Painting/Drawning, Sculpture, Photography or Media).

6 Consult the reference - Program Requirements for the list of courses in Art History (ART) (H). Other courses may be selected in consultation with the Department of Visual Arts. The course AMT3105 can count towards this requirement,
